Breast Surgery Fellowship Program. The modern management of breast disease requires an in-depth knowledge of not only surgery, but breast imaging, image directed biopsy techniques, pathology, radiation oncology and medical oncology. The fellowship enhances the basic knowledge of the management of breast disease acquired by a general surgical.

This is a multidisciplinary fellowship designed to expose fellows to every specialty involved in the care of breast patients. Five months are devoted to breast surgery and seven to medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastic surgery, breast imaging, pathology, genetics, research and other disciplines. Fellows learn from world-class faculty.

The comprehensive fellowship provides in-depth exposure to all aspects of breast care, with the aim of training future leaders in the field of breast surgery. Program Overview: Breast Surgery Fellowship | Columbia University Department of Surgery.
